The Metaphysical Obligation of Celebrating Our Own Creations by William Whitecloud
Every day I get emails from people all over the world expressing their appreciation of The Magician’s Way and sharing with me how it has helped them in their life. Without exception, they are all touching and often truly inspiring.
Here’s one of my recent favourites, from Terry Morley: “My mum has gave me this book to read on the plane. but i left it in a bag and with a bottle of water. and i didnt put the lid on the bottle proprely so when i got of at the airport i was going to throw the book in the bin. but i thought about how my mum would feel so i kept it. i think its the best thing i have done in a long time. after reading the first chapter i called my brother to go play golf. i have been getting car park's in front of where i want be. and told the nurse in the waiting room i had to go home and get a book while i was waiting. i want to meet every person in this book they an insperation. this book is magic.”
Mia Barrott had this to share: “A perfect book for this tiny moment of my life - why would I expect anything less! I am looking after myself and two children, six weeks ago I left my six figure contract of six years. I found that over the last eighteen months I became very unhappy. I thank God, Grace, my Creative Spirit, genetics, evolution and anything that could have possibly been responsible for me being blessed to be doing what I love and was born to do. It’s a double joy that my purpose in life is to help others discover and fulfill their destiny in life. Life is too valuable to waste on being a slave to something our hearts and souls don’t want to be a part of. That’s what I call self-hatred! And self-love is freeing ourselves of the illusion that we have to put our birthright on hold. NOW is the only time we have to let go of all we fear we stand to lose and embrace the infinite bliss of sinking into our true nature and purpose.
Those who are close to me know that I don’t speak in terms of some holy grail at the end of a rainbow. What I say is based on my very real experience. After years of persevering along my true path things have come together in the most magical way, so much so that I still have to pinch myself. The Magician’s Way has really taken off and shows all the signs of being a major best seller this year. In fact, I have ordered the second print of 5000 copies!
Then there’s the Magician's Way Training, which I’ve just run for the first time at the beginning of December. Both myself and the 40 inaugural participants were blown away by the profound richness and depth of the experience, certainly way beyond anything I’ve facilitated or participated in before. We all know that this will be a model that will serve tens of thousands of people in radically transforming their lives. It goes infinitely beyond giving people warm feelings and techniques for coping with life to actually reconnecting them with their Spirit and making them the masters of their life. You have to go to www.magiciansway.com and see what participants say about it, though I think Deb Field’s feedback sums up everyone’s enthusiasm for the course: “Even if I was offered $10 million dollars to erase the 8 day course from memory I would happily decline.”
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! 3 days before Christmas I found out that I am cured of a life threatening illness and for the first time in my whole adult life I am well and feeling full of energy. I never knew what it meant to be alive. And now that I do know, I can see the plethora of wonderful things manifesting all about me.
It’s all so great that I nearly fell into the trap of feeling guilty for my good fortune, especially in the face of such tragic events as the Asian Tsunami and the appalling wars being waged at the moment. Sometimes I feel we are living in the dark ages again, I honestly do. And here I am wallowing in vibrant health, deeply fulfilling creative satisfaction, intensely rich relationships and copious emotional, spiritual and material abundance. Sometimes my ego tries to tell me that it is unseemly to fully enjoy life when so many others are suffering so badly.
Then I have to remind myself that - while it’s good to feel for others’ suffering (compassion is a human quality) – it’s also true that I created what I have today. From being sick, lost to who I truly am, and being a slave to an economic and political system that were crushing my spirit, I used my will to pull myself back into the light and receive my land of plenty. It’s my birthright, where I’m meant to be - where we’re all meant to be, actually.
Let us not forget the Marrianne Williamson words Nelson Mandela quoted at his inauguration: “Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking...As we let our own light shine we give others permission to do the same.” That’s right, living your life as an expression of your highest potential is the greatest service you can offer the world. If you weren’t worth the abundance that Grace is constantly dishing up you wouldn’t be here, and when you help yourself to your land of plenty you actually show others the way to theirs.
Playing small is an easy and miserable path to follow. Living your greatness is a heroic and joyous way. And it’s important to remember that everything you do serves something beyond yourself. For me New Year is more than a time to make petty, self-centred resolutions. It’s a threshold from which I can look forward and decide what I’m going to serve on the next leg of my journey. What will it be: Darkness or Light?
